Grandparents are the best

I don't think I could have made it to 12 weeks of motherhood if I didn't have such a great support system. Being a mom is the most wonderful, amazing experience ever. It is also the hardest thing I can imagine! The first few days home were pretty rough, because we were both exhausted and clueless and stressed and Mason didn't take any time off of school. Thank heavens Mom and Dad were able to come down and help us!

We came home from the hospital on a Monday, and they came down to our house on a Friday. I came home from Abby's first doctor's appointment and they were standing on my front porch with a bunch of grocery bags. They got to meet Abigail and they both loved her! They brought a bunch of delicious food, some BEAUTIFUL tulips, and amazing company. It was so much fun! Not to mention they took care of Abby while I napped, and did all my dishes, and mom cleaned my disgusting bathroom until every surface shined. Then they babysat for an hour and a half so Mason and I could go out to dinner on Valentines Day! I am so grateful they came.

After they left, Michelle was able to come the next day! Having her here was so wonderful! She did our dishes, boiled our bottles, rocked our baby to sleep a million times, made us meals for our freezer., and kept me company while Mason was away at school. We are so blessed that she was able to come, and we're so happy she got to meet little Abigail, her first grandchild!
